In the first festival day, August 5th, at the Astra Open Air Museum, cinema lovers have the chance to attend the screening of the documentary Wild Romania, in the presence of the film team. Wild Romania won the Audience Award for best Romanian film at TIFF 2021. 10 years ago, the project for the documentary began, becoming the most well documented photography and documentary project dedicated to wildlife in Romania.
On the same day, with the team of the movie present in the Small Square, the film Asta-i viața / La vida era eso (dir. David Martín de los Santos, with Florin Piersic Jr.) will be screened. The film is an emotional story about two women from different generations who meet and form a beautiful friendship. Otto the Barbarian (dir. Ruxandra Ghițescu), winner of the best Romanian Feature film in the Romanian Days section of TIFF 2021, will have its screening at the Cine Gold location.
