Today, in the first day of the festival, at 9:45 PM, in the Small Square, the debut film of David Martin de los Santos, Asta-i viața / La vida era eso will have its special screening, in front of the Sibiu audience.
The director dedicated the movie to his mother and to all of the women from the francoistian era of Spain. Asta-i viața / La vida era eso follows the emotional story of two women from two different generations who meet in a hospital in Belgium and form a unique friendship.
The movie was part of the Competition section at TIFF 2021, Petra Martinez receiving the award for Best Performance, for her portrayal of Maria.
