Saturday morning, at TIFF Lounge, we'll meet you for coffee with the team of Man and Dog, invited to TIFF Talks at 10:30. Come and t learn more about what the production process looked like and what inspired the creators of the film that marks the debut of director Ștefan Constantinescu. The filmmaker will come to the meeting with the public accompanied by actresses Ofelia Popii and Cosmina Stratan. Alongside them will be the producers Ada Solomon and Diana Paroiu, scenographer Alexandra Alma Ungureanu and Alexandru Solomon, who signs the image of the film. The discussion will be moderated by film critic Ionuț Mareş.
Man and Dog follows the story of Doru, who in the midst of the coronavirus epidemic decides to return to Romania, abandoning his job in Sweden. He claims he must attend the baptism of his best friend's son, but in reality he has a different plan. Along with his mother’s dog, Doru seeks to confirm his suspicions about his wife’s infidelity. Time is short, Europe is preparing to close its borders, and Doru's superiors insist that he return to Sweden urgently.
