Actress Cosmina Stratan accepted the invitation to participate at InspiraTIFF and will come to TIFF Lounge on Friday, June 24, at 3:00PM. The discussion with the audience, moderated by Cristina Stănciulescu, will be broadcast live on the streaming platform TIFF Unlimited.
Cosmina Stratan debuted on the big screen in the film După Dealuri (dir. Cristian Mungiu), in the role of Voichiţa, who won her the Award for Best Actress in Cannes, in 2012. After 9 years, she returned to the prestigious festival, part of the distribution of the short film Interfon 15 (dir. Andrei Epure), presented in the official selection of the Semaine de la Critique section, and in 2022 she returned with Frère et soeur (r. Arnaud Desplechin), in which she plays alongside Marion Cotillard.
At TIFF 2022 you will be able to watch her in Man dog, the debut film of director Ștefan Constantinescu, a noir about a man who comes back in the country only to confirm his suspicions about his wife’s infidelity. It's all happening in the context of international movement restrictions caused by the pandemic. The film competes for the Romanian Days Competition Award.
