In Search of Paradise - augmented reality exhibition
Launch event: Thursday, June 23, time: 18:00 - meet the Artist - Anca Damian
“In Search of Paradise A.R.” marks the first new media project of director Anca Damian, an immersive intervention in the universe of Insula. Starting from the demitized version of the novel “Robinson Crusoe” that Gellu Naum presents in “The Island”, the exhibition proposes a new reading of the subject in the light of the reality of the 21st century, using instruments and media specific to it. Bringing to the fore pressing contemporary issues such as migration, ecology, alienation of people and technology, Anca Damian’s “Island” brings a classic work to life through a new approach. The advance of technology over the past centuries is thus incorporated into the narrative by the way the story is presented, removing the action from the book, theater, film, and later into augmented reality, transforming the reader into an active participant in the story universe. The exhibition is open to visitors every day of the festival.
