Japanese alternative rockers Bo Ningen will perform for the first time in Bucharest – November 28 at Control Club – as part of Psych Kicks, a two-day psych-rock extravaganza.
Day tickets + a limited number of combo tickets are now available via Eventbook.
Meaning ‘Stick Man’ in Japanese, Bo Ningen are a London-based four-piece alternative rock band consisting of Taigen Kawabe (bass/ vocals), Yuki Tsujii (guitar), Kohhei Matsuda (guitar/keys) and Monchan Monna (drums). Though they come from Gunma, Tajimi, Nishinomiya, and Tokyo in Japan, they coalesced in London.
Their iconic look and quest for artistic invention are only surpassed by their intense live performances, which have earned them a place as one of the most captivating live acts in the UK and saw them voted Best Live Act of 2019 by festival-goers for their appearance at Green Man Festival that year.
They have worked with Douglas Hart (The Jesus and Mary Chain), Damo Suzuki (CAN), Jehnny Beth (Savages) and Hedi Slimane (Yves Saint Laurent), to name just a few.
With the release of their alternate soundtrack to Alejandro Jodorowsky’s seminal film Holy Mountain in March 2024, curating Le Guess Who festival in The Netherlands, plus appearances at the world famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Bo Ningen are bringing their quest for artistic invention to the fore.
